IML Belgium are record breakers!
IML Belgium are proud to be record breakers by being involved in
the first ever Quiz for Life, officially the biggest indoor quiz
ever with 2,500 people taking part.
The quiz took part in Gent and was organised by Stu Bru, The Red
Cross and the Lottery. Delegates registered via the internet and
paid 10 Euros each to enter the quiz, helping raise funds for the
cure of Malaria.
IML prepared 80 questions for 7 rounds including questions
ranging from music and diseases to celebrities and sports. Players
were treated to a live band that played the music for the music
questions. Videos and pictures were also used for some of the
questions.
There were 500 teams in total, with 5 people in each. Each
team received a manual with 5 codes per question. For each question
they had 15 seconds to find the correct code and enter it into
IML’s Communicator keypad.
The Communicator keypad generated a competitive and fun
atmosphere by instantly identifying winning teams after each round.
Team scores were automatically calculated by the IML system and
results were displayed live to the audience immediately on live
scoreboards. Each round could then be totaled and the final scores
revealed as soon as the quiz had ended.
It was a really enjoyable and fun evening had by all, and
without IML’s Communicator keypads the quiz could never have taken
place.
